Grayce Alumnus, Rose O’Reilly joins Management Team

Rose O’Reilly shares her journey from Grayce Analyst to Grayce Delivery Manager.

What made you want to join Grayce?

I applied for Grayce after working in a number of roles. Business Development for a start up and then PMO in the NHS for around two and a half years. I’d heard about the Grayce Development Programme and wanted to formalise some of my experience with the professional qualifications, mentoring and coaching I knew I’d get whilst on the Programme.

I could see that the Community aspect of Grayce was really strong. All Analysts are actively encouraged to get involved, connect as a community, and support Grayce initiatives.

I joined as an Analyst in year two of the Development Programme and was assigned as a Project Manager to an insurance client. Here, I delivered global supply chain efficiencies estimated at £1.9m in cost savings. I also lead and delivered a new product launch that involved the development of a mobile app, three websites and customer migration.

I was able to use the skills I’d developed in my previous commercial experience, coupled with leadership and management training, coaching and mentoring from my Delivery Manager, to help deliver against my objectives.

How has Grayce helped your career?

Grayce has been a fantastic springboard for me to work directly with clients and define my career plan. I gained great experience working for my insurance client and was able to then move to the legal sector delivering a revenue growth project, supporting changes to systems and culture there.

Grayce has given me a really broad range of experience in change and transformation that I’m now able to use in my new role as Delivery Manager.

Working for Grayce, it’s really clear that their values are at the heart of everything. Grayce is a people focused business and committed to people development – and its own development! We’re going through a really exciting growth period, where we’re introducing services to new clients and expanding our services in our current clients too. This means that we’re welcoming more and more Analysts at the starts of their careers.

How did you decide to become a Delivery Manager with Grayce?

Once I was in Year 3 of the Programme, I worked hard with my Delivery Manager through the career coaching sessions. It was here where I realised that through the quality of the support I’d received on the Programme, and through informally managing people on client site, that I had a natural ability and passion for developing people.

Exploring my options through the career coaching sessions led me to apply for the role of Delivery Manager. I’m delighted that I’m now supporting the careers of Analysts in the Programme.

I work with clients and Analysts in the North and no two days are the same. It’s absolutely incredible to see the sheer scale of Programmes our people are supporting every day. I’m excited to bring my experience delivering large scale change and transformation, coupled with my people development passion to the role and see how we can keep transforming change.

Gemma Phipps, Grayce Head of People says, "We welcomed Rose to the Delivery Manager team in September. We’re delighted that she has joined our Management Team, bringing her experience, both from clients and as a Grayce Development Programme Alumnus. Rose lives the Grayce values of We Care, We Deliver Excellence and We Succeed Together. I’m looking forward to seeing how her skills will shape and support the careers of our future Analysts."
