The Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) approves Grayce’s near-term science-based emissions reduction target

Grayce, is proud to announce its approved emission reduction targets in alignment with the Paris Agreement which aims to limit global warming to 1.5°C. This commitment reflects Grayce's dedication to sustainability and its proactive role in addressing the global climate crisis.

The Science Based Targets initiative provides a robust framework for companies to set ambitious climate targets that are in line with the latest climate science. By aligning with SBTi, Grayce is taking a significant step towards reducing its carbon footprint and contributing to the global effort to limit temperature rise to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

Grayce’s commitment:
  • To reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 42% by FY2030 from a FY2023 base year.
  • To reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 25% within the same timeframe.

"At Grayce, we recognise the urgent need to address climate change and are committed to doing our part to better the planet," said Gemma Collins, Performance and Development Director. “It’s wonderful to see the passion for ESG in the next generation. Grayce’s research found that 60% of Gen Z placed importance on a company’s commitment to sustainability when choosing an employer. That passion is reflected in our Grayce team through initiatives like the Analyst-led Sustainability team, which drives educational sessions and fosters our responsible culture. Setting science-based targets is a critical component of our sustainability strategy, and we are dedicated to making meaningful progress towards a low-carbon future.”

In order to achieve these targets, Grayce has developed an ongoing ESG strategy and roadmap including initiatives aimed at reducing our carbon footprint such as:
  • Conscious Purchasing of Goods and Services: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure sustainable production and reduce supply chain emissions.
  • Reducing Fuel and Energy-Related Activities: Implement energy-efficient practices and invest in renewable energy to cut fossil fuel use.
  • Waste Management: Minimise waste, promote recycling, and ensure responsible disposal.

By setting these ambitious targets, Grayce aims to not only reduce its environmental impact but also inspire other organisations to take similar actions. We believe that collective efforts are essential to achieving a sustainable future and Grayce is committed to leading by example.
