Grayce launches NEW Data+ division
Grayce launches NEW Data+ division to help close the data skills gap and enhance organisations ability to drive value from their data
Today, we announce the launch of a unique data offering to the market with our new data division, Data+.
Data+ will kickstart the careers of graduates seeking a career in data analysis, further cementing our commitment to supporting the early careers of graduates as the recession continues to cause a decrease in opportunities. We’ll provide a structured Development Programme with professional qualifications, expert coaching, mentoring and client experience. The programme is co-designed with a panel of leaders in the world of Data through a unique, first to market partnership with Turing Talent.
For organisations this will be a welcomed initiative with analytics spend expected to hit £25bn in the UK this year, and skilled professionals becoming increasingly difficult to find, train and retain.
Grayce CEO, Geoff Smith says, ‘We’re delighted to offer more choices to our clients, and to graduates wanting to start their careers in Data Analysis. We’ve been listening to feedback from our clients about ways to offer a more focused data solution and our Data+ Development Programme is the result. We’re excited to see how we can support clients to build their data analysis capability and more importantly, drive additional value from the extraordinary volumes of data we now see in business today. Our solution will help organisations understand their data, drive value and maintain a competitive edge in one of the most challenging trading periods of our time’.
Data+ is modelled on our 8 years proven Change+ division that focuses on building Business Analysis, Project Management and PMO capability in a more cost-effective and sustainable way than traditional delivery models. We’ve been successfully developing change leaders of the future for over eight years, and over the past 18 months have increasingly supported clients to develop their data analysis capability.
This demand has led to us designing this new solution to support clients and create a specific career pathway for individuals who want to succeed in and become the data leaders of the future.
The Data+ Development Programme
The Data+ Development Programme curriculum will give a solid foundation in Data Analysis using Python and SQL, Web Analytics using Google Analytics, Big Data and Cloud, Data Governance and GDPR plus training across a range of visualisation tools such as PowerBI, Tableau and Google Data Studio. Analysts will complete 160 hours of Python training in year one of the Programme with the flexibility to develop specialist skills in years two and three.
Grayce has partnered with Turing Talent to provide design and delivery services into the Data+ Development Programme. Founded and backed by a group of industry leaders from Facebook, McKinsey and the University of Cambridge, Turing Talent is a specialist in talent development and sourcing in highly technical areas including Data Analytics, with a strong focus on diversity in tech.
Through this partnership, Grayce Analysts will be equipped with industry best practices, as well as having access to Turing Talent’s network of world-class mentors from organisations such as Google, Amazon and Facebook. Christina Chen, CEO of Turing Talent says, ‘I am very excited about the partnership with Grayce. We are proud of what we have created together combining industry-leading expertise from Turing Talent and Grayce’s proven track record of building capability with emerging talent.’
Data+ is named for the additional value Clients and Analysts receive from Grayce. The Data+ hard skills Development Programme is complemented by additional leadership and management training, facilitation, agile principles and commercial skills development, providing a well-rounded skill set that clients need today, and in the future. Grayce Data+ encompasses more than the people, Clients gain additional service support too, from Analyst performance management to resource demand strategy support.
Our first cohort join the Data+ Development Programme in September, and we’re already seeing interest from our existing clients as we help them transform their ability to drive value from their data.
