Grayce’s journey to becoming climate positive

As part of our climate positive journey, Grayce has partnered with the global movement Earthly, as part of our science-based target pledge.

In recognition of Earth Day, Grayce is excited to share that we have partnered with global movement Earthly, joining industry leading organisations, including L’Oreal, Crowd Cube and Caixa Bank.  Earthly offers a platform to give businesses an effective way to invest in nature through transparent projects that delivering biodiversity and social impacts.

As part of our climate positive journey and partnership with Earthly, Grayce is a part of a movement and ‘Natural Revolution’ with the aim to remove carbon, restore nature and reverse climate breakdown. As well as partnering with Earthly to lead our climate positive journey, Grayce has signed a commitment pledge to Science Based Targets

Science Based Targets provide companies with a clearly defined path to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with the Paris Agreement goals, helping prevent the worst impacts of climate change and future proof business growth. Grayce has joined more than 2000 businesses worldwide, including AstraZeneca, BUPA, Deloitte and EY. This initiative helps future-proof growth and demonstrate concrete sustainability commitments to increasingly conscious consumers. They aim to help organisations tackle global warming while seizing the benefits as we transition towards a zero-carbon economy. Grayce’s Chief Operating Officer, Kate Davies says: “At Grayce we are passionate about our deeper purpose, and this includes how Grayce can be a sustainability leader in our industry by treating our planet with respect. Our next step is to work towards becoming climate positive as we recognise the crucial role that business community can play in minimising the risk climate change poses to the future of our planet. It’s for this reason we’re committed to set science-based emissions reduction targets, in line with the SBTi Criteria and Recommendations as well as working with our climate positive partner Earthly.”

Sustainability initiative

At Grayce our community is the place where tomorrow’s leaders are made, providing a platform for graduates to drive their personal development and succeed. Through regular events, we recognise the crucial role the emerging workforce plays in the future of our world. One of these is the Sustainability initiative with over 50 members, led by Grayce Analyst, Georgina Rosser. Sustainability is becoming an increasing concern, and Grayce are actively embedding sustainability into their strategic direction. The team work to promote sustainable ways of living and working.

Sustainability lead, Georgina says: “Playing a part in society’s transition to be more sustainable is the most important contribution I can make during my time at Grayce. It’s a privilege to be working with so many enthusiastic and like-minded Analysts that share this mentality along with the support from Grayce, who are consistently receptive to the ambitions of the initiative. We have the talent, motivation and capability to make Grayce an industry leader within sustainability.”

With regular events and Knowledge Exchanges, Grayce are proud to see the initiative thrive. Including hosting of our Sustainability ThoughtFest, an event bringing together Grayce Analysts, clients, and international keynote speakers to discuss how we can make Grayce and the wider business world a greener and more sustainable one. The event was hosted with the aim to inspire our community to think outside of the box and come up with new ways to make Grayce a better place.

Sustainability’s Strategic Lead, Abdi-Ismail, says: “In the 4 months that have passed since ThoughtFest, I have worked alongside a team of Analysts to work on Grayce’s carbon neutral strategy. All businesses have a moral obligation to reduce and offset their Carbon emissions. The IPCC Report recently announced that it’s now or never if we are to avoid the worst-case scenarios of climate breakdown.”

At Grayce we are looking forward to focussing on meeting our sustainability goals and ambitions and are excited to see businesses evolve to take a positive approach when it comes to the environment.
