Discover the UK’s emerging tech hub, Cambridge

Grayce Business Development Manager, George Mellor shares his take on opportunities in Cambridge.

Say hello to the UK's emerging tech hub! Cambridge has long been the centre of global research and scientific advancement, owing to its prestigious University. But what you might not know about Cambridge is that it is home to a vibrant cluster of tech companies, focused on electronics, software and biotech, and is named the Silicon Fen, to rival the Silicon Valley in California, USA.

Cambridge is actually one of the fastest growing tech hubs in the UK. Significant investment in the area is ensuring that Cambridge will be a home to emerging technical talent driving world class innovation.

A number of global brands have AI research teams based in the City such as Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, ARM and Samsung; it’s clear that innovation is already happening right now in Cambridge - and there’s more to come.

From a talent perspective, of course the University helps to contribute to a strong technical talent pool, however, the rate at which businesses are moving to the region demands more skills and talent in this area.

This is why we’re supporting businesses in Cambridge, by helping them build capability so they can continue to innovate and deliver. Grayce Analysts are working on some truly exciting programmes in the region. Cambridge will be one to watch over the coming years, so why not consider how a client assignment in Cambridge could help your career?
