I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in Business Management. Before joining Grayce, I worked at an insurance company for around a year handling home claims. Here, I learned many transferable skills including customer service, time management, and building a solid foundation of insurance knowledge. After a year of working in insurance, I then wanted to venture into project management, which was how I found Grayce. I’ve now been with Grayce 18 months and have worked with a major insurance organisation on their regulatory and compliance projects.
Generally, on my assignment I help the organisation with problems linked to a lack of business engagement on regulatory practice as well as outdated processes. I address these problems by updating and designing sustainable processes and frameworks that meet regulatory requirements. The key to success in this area is ensuring that compliance and operations teams are closely aligned and collaborating when building new processes so that we can verify that they’re sustainable for the business.
With regards to me future career aspirations, I’d like to continue developing my project management skills, especially in budgeting and finance. I will be enrolling onto the Change Management (Practitioner) and Lean Six Sigma training courses that Grayce provides to widen my theoretical knowledge of change and project environments. Alongside this, I look forward to continuing to develop my practice experience on my current project by focusing on development areas and seeking out new opportunities.
