Welcoming new CEO, Jo Matkin
As we close off another year in pursuit of our ambitious growth plans, we would like to inform the market that our CEO Geoff Smith is leaving to pursue new career opportunities in 2023. Geoff has led the evolution of Grayce through a period of significant growth and change seeing the business triple in size.
At the same time, we would like to welcome Jo Matkin as CEO. Jo brings a wealth of leadership expertise to help support our transition and continued growth, as we look to take Grayce forward with an exciting 2023 planned for our people and clients.
Geoff says “It has been my pleasure to lead the company for the last three years with such a fantastic proposition which has significantly evolved over this time. I know the future for Grayce will continue to be as successful. It’s the people, the values and culture that make it so special. I’m really pleased to be handing over to Jo Matkin who is a very capable leader and able to support the continuing growth journey”.
Chris Sellers, Grayce Chair and Literacy Capital Board member commented “Geoff has been with us for three years, and I would like to express my sincere thanks to him for the leadership he has shown in growing the business, enabling even more young people an exceptional start to their career. Navigating through a global pandemic, integration of Doris, and the introduction of a greater breadth of skills development has been no small task and for this we are extremely grateful”.
Jo Matkin says “It is a pleasure to be leading the company. I’m grateful to Geoff for handing over the company in such great form and, I relish the opportunity to guide Grayce into this exciting future. Over the last couple of months I have been thrilled to discover the energy and expertise of the staff at Grayce. 2023 will mark a step change in our success and I look forward to assisting the group in achieving this”.
We would also like to take this moment to also thank all our clients and partners for their support this year and wish all our stakeholders the very best for the holiday period.
