The role

The Compliance Manager at Grayce is a Compliance professional who has demonstrated the ability to ensure compliance is adhered to and processes are continuously monitored and updated in line with industry and best practice standards. The Compliance Manager is responsible for:


Core Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Working closely with internal and external clients to ensure a seamless, professional service is delivered at all times.
  • Reviewing drafted contracts of employment for new joiners and being responsible for taking over candidate management at point of offer.
  • Liaising with clients to continuously review compliance objectives and ensure Grayce’s internal processes are ever-evolving.
  • Ascertaining service level agreements and monitoring these regularly in line with industry updates and client objectives.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with background checking provider to ensure a professional and timely service is maintained at all times.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and opportunities to develop and streamline systems and processes.
  • Upskilling and educating key stakeholders to maintain a focus on compliance and provide guidance to leadership team when required.
  • Training relevant teams and internal recruiters on compliance and onboarding processes.
  • Keeping abreast of industry standards and obtaining client feedback on a regular basis.
  • Using client feedback to improve standards.
  • Providing regularly weekly/ monthly reports to the leadership team.
  • Completing compliance risk assessment to ensure risks are highlighted and limited where possible.
  • Managing compliance/ onboarding administrator and assuming overall responsibility for the quality control of pre-employment checks, including but not limited to; criminal, credit, right-to-work checks and employment references.
  • Providing support to key stakeholders and making relevant updates and changes to processes as and when they are required.

Additional responsibilities

  • Supporting the CFO in overseeing the timesheet process and work closely with Finance team to ensure timesheets are submitted in line with deadlines.

Previous experience/ attributes

  • Previous experience of overseeing compliance processes within a similar environment.
  • Experience of and ability to manage client contracts.
  • Proven experience of building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to present data with accuracy and clarity.
  • A natural ability to focus on the requirements of the client.
  • Solid stakeholder management skills, displaying confidence and the ability to challenge when required.
  • Confidence in abilities and unafraid to try new things.
  • A natural flair for problem solving.
  • Prior supervisory/ management experience in a similar environment.
  • Experience of data privacy issues advantageous.
  • Solution focused.
